Uttar Pradesh government doubled the budget under MNREGA
The Uttar Pradesh government decided to double the budget under MREGA Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act.
The budget of NREGA scheme was initially ₹85,00,00,000.
The government has recently increased it to ₹ 150000000.
Last year, more than 10470000 laborers from 8500000 families were given employment in the Uttar Pradesh government. In the year 2019-20, work was provided to 531500000000 families.
