Tamilnadu government started Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme (Artist Women’s Entitlement Scheme) 2023. Under this scheme, the government will provide Rs. 1000 per month to every women artist. People can register for it at your near FPS Ration Shop from 5th August 2023 to 16th August 2023. Once you register under the scheme will receive the first installment on 15 September 2023.

Tamil Nadu Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai 2023

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin launched the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai on 24th July 2023. Under this scheme, the government provides Rs. 1000 per month as an “Artist Women Rights Amount“.

Women do not have to apply for it online anywhere. The government is holding Registration Camp in every Ward and Ration Shop.

The scheme registration will be in two phases:

• First Phase Registration: 24th July 2023 to 4th August 2023 (Completed)
• Second Phase Registration: 5th August 2023 to 16th August 2023 (Started)

Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Phase I Registration Completed

Registration for “Artist Women Rights Amount” started on 24th July 2023 through camps across districts, taluka and panchayat in the state.

Registration for the Artist Women’s Entitlement Scheme started on 24th July, and the authorities received approximately 36,06,974 applications over the course of three days.

On 04th August 2023, the scheme completed its first phase of registration. As of date, the scheme has received about 79.66 lakh applications so far.

Now the government is going to start a second phase registration camp for it.

05 August 2023: Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme Phase II Registration Camp Started

After the successful completion of Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Registration Camp Phase I, now the government has moved to the second phase.

The second phase of the registration camp is starting on 5th August 2023, and the last date for the registration camp will be 16th August 2023.

Eligible women have to visit the near FPS Ration Shop where they have their Ration Card. Application registration will be held on all camp days, including Sundays, from 9.30 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5.30 pm.

You just have to bring your Aadhar card, family card, electricity bill receipt, and bank passbook for verification while registering the application.

Note: No need to apply and obtain any proofs like income proof, land documents etc. from revenue department to apply for Artist Women Rights Scheme.

Magalir Urimai Thogai Guidelines For Registration Camp and Time

• The government advises applicants not to rush to the camps for registration.
• The police have received training in collecting biometric data.
• The camp hours are 9.30 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5.30 pm, including Sundays.
• Applicants should bring their Aadhaar, ration card, power bill, and bank passbook as residents.
• Radhakrishnan claimed that all PDS employees were receiving training to ensure efficient operation.
• The authorities have urged people to contact them for clarifications.:

Magalir Urimai Thogai Eligibility In Tamil:

• Women above 21 years can apply under the Artist Women Entitlement Scheme for Heads of Household.
• Those born before September 15, 2002, are eligible to apply.
• Candidates should apply at the registration camp located at the fair price shop where their family card is available.
• Only one beneficiary per family card is eligible to apply.
• All persons named in the family card are considered as a family.
• Housewives in eligible families can apply for the scheme’s benefits.
• The woman named as the head of the family in the Ration Card is considered the head of the family.
• If a male head is mentioned in the family card, the wife of the head is treated as the head of the family.
• In the absence of the wife’s name on the family card, another woman in the family becomes the head.
• Families with at least one female member above 21 can appoint one person to apply for the scheme.
• Unmarried single women, concubines, and transgender people heading households are also eligible.
• Each family must complete the applications and bring relevant documents for verification to the application camp on the specified date.
