Uttar Pradesh Scholarship For Students 2024

As per UDISE+ Report 2023, the Uttar Pradesh Government teaches about 26.53 crore students from classes 1 to 12.

Out of them, about 6.06 crores of students study in Government Schools while remaining in Private, Aided, and other schools.

Along with there are lakh other students pursuing graduation, master, Ph.D., etc.

In addition, because of a lack of guidance, income problems, and poverty, many students are dropping out after class 8 and not enrolling in class 9.

Because of high competition for better colleges for higher education, many students back their steps for Graduation, Master, and Ph.D.

To solve the dropout rate, the government has started Uttar Pradesh Scholarship.

Here are some of them that we have provided:

Best 5 UP Scholarship 2024: Eligibility & Benefits

 four type of up scholarship

The government is providing 4 types of scholarship schemes based on the level of education. All types have their different benefits.

Here we have described below these in brief:

#1: Pre-Matric

Under the UP Pre-Matric Scholarship, the government will provide scholarships for class 9 and 10 students.

It will encourage the class 8 students to enroll for classes 9 and 10 instead of dropout.

Because many government school students in Uttar Pradesh are not enrolling for further studies after class 8.

This grant will also reduce the mental stress regarding fees of class 10 board students so that they can freely study and can score better on board exams.

#2: Post-Matric Inter

UP Post-matric scholarships are for classes 11 and 12.

In this class, many students of the state do not study further because of financial problems. They drop school for earning money.

Many parents in Uttar Pradesh, specifically in Rural, do not let girls study for classes 11, 12, and above.

The main reason getting reported is that the parents do have not enough money to teach them further and conflicts with girls’ marriage as well.

But the UP Post-Matric Inter can provide financial help and reduce the burden of parents of teaching girls for studies.

#3: Post-Matric Other Than Inter

As you can see the recent time scenario for graduation. Taking graduation in your favorite subjects and college is expensive.

The average fee of a private college for a bachelor’s degree is about 3-5 Lakh.

In addition to competitive exams and merit, it also becomes hard to pursue graduation. The course of college needs lots of expense.

So the government is providing scholarships such students who want to complete graduation but the money becomes a hurdle for them.

Private college students are getting about 50 thousand and more in scholarships.

#4: Post-Matric Out Side State

Many students do not get into a good college so they apply for graduation in another state than Uttar Pradesh.

Such students who live in UP but study in another state are called Post-Matric Out SideState.

The UP Scholarship 2023 also allows and makes eligible for a grant for graduation.

The post-matric other than inter contains bachelor, master, and Ph.D. studies.

Bonus: Post-Matric Monthly Scholarship

Under the scheme, the government provides a monthly scholarship price to Post matric students based on the Post Matric Group.

  • Group1: Degree and Post Graduate Level Professional Courses: Engineering, Architecture, Design, Finance, Business, etc.
  • Group2: Other professional courses leading to a degree, diploma certificates: Pharmacy, Hotel Management, Nursing, Mass Communication, etc.
  • Group3: Graduate and Post Graduate Course: B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, etc.
  • Group4: All post-matriculation non-degree courses: Class 10, 10+2, Diploma, Polytechnic, etc.

As above you can understand the different groups of post-matric students. Now you can see the intensive distribution of scholarships in the below table:
