Here is the process for how you can apply for a new fresh passport:

  • Step1: Through the Passport Seva Online Portal, register. On the Home Page (passportindia.gov.in), click the “Register Now” option.
  • Step2: Login to the mPassport Seva Online Portal using the registered Login Id.
  • Step3: Select the link for “Apply for New Passport or Reissue of Passport.”
  • Step4: Complete the form’s required fields, then submit it.
  • Step5: To set up an appointment, go to the “View Saved/Submitted Applications” page and click the “Pay and Schedule Appointment” link.
    • All PSK/POPSK/PO have made online payment a requirement for scheduling appointments.
    • Any one of the following methods may be used to make an online payment:
      • Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard and Visa)
      • Internet Banking (State Bank of India (SBI) Associate Banks and Other Banks)
      • SBI Bank Challan
  • Step6: To print the application receipt with the Application Reference Number (ARN)/Appointment Number, click the “Print Application Receipt” link.
Note:  >It is no longer necessary to carry a printout of the application receipt.  >When visiting the passport office, an SMS containing the specifics of your appointment is also recognized as appointment verification. 
  • Step7: Bring the original documents to the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK)/Regional Passport Office (RPO) where an appointment has been scheduled.

What Are Different Types Of Passport In India

#1: Blue Passport (Personal)
