Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojana 2024: The women and child development department of Gujarat, has launched the Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojana (ગુજરાત વહાલી દિકરી યોજના 2024). This scheme is promoting the girl birth ratio in the state.
The scheme was launched on 2 August 2019. Now all the citizens who are living in Gujarat state can apply for Vahli Dikri Yojana 2024.
The application procedure is a combination of online and offline versions. You can fill out the application form offline mode.
After that, you need to enter the details on the state portal in true online mode with the help of VCE.

Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojana (વહાલી દિકરી યોજના)
The central government is promoting the birth of a girl child through Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana.
Various states are also providing different schemes for or upgrading the social status of females in their state.
Vahli Dikri is also a state-level initiative of the Gujarat government.
It is providing financial assistance to parents who have recently given birth to a girl child. Department will distribute the amount in three terms.
Parents will receive 4000 rupees in their bank account when their child gets admission to first class.
When the girl enrols herself in the 9th class, Government will pay 6000 rupees for educational purposes.
The remaining ₹10,00,000 will receive after 18 years of age.
The government will transfer this money to the guardian’s account through DBT.
Objectives of Dikri Yojana
- The government aims to increase the girl childbirth rate in the state of Gujarat. In the state of Gujarat, out of every 1000 male babies, only about eight hundred female babies are born.
- The main objective of the government is to encourage girl education as well. Girls will be given financial assistance of ₹ 4000 at the time of admission in class 1. While ₹ 6000 at the time of admission in class 9.
- This initiative is also being taken to prevent malpractice like child marriage. The department will pay an amount of ₹ 100000 to her guardian only after the girl child completes 18 years of age. The most important condition for getting this amount is that the girl child should not be married till the age of 18 years.

This scheme is providing financial assistance to the parents on the birth of a girl child. The government will give an amount of ₹ 110000 to the parents in three installments.
- ₹ 3000 will come into the account of parents during admission to first class
- Financial assistance of ₹ 6000 will be given after enrolling in the ninth class
- ₹100000 will be deposited in the guardian’s account after the age of 18 years

Eligibility criteria for Vahli Dikri Yojana
- Only girls born after August 2, 2019, will get the benefit of this scheme.
- The government will give the benefit of this scheme only to a maximum of two girls from a family.
- If the first child in the family is a boy and the second child is a girl, then the girl child will get this benefit. But for this, there is a condition that the couple should not have any third child.
- If the first child of the couple is a girl and the second time twin girls are born. In such a situation then all the girls will get the benefit of this scheme. But after this, they should not have any more children.
- The age of the mother should be above 18 years at the time of birth of the child.
- The combined annual income of husband and wife should be ₹ 2,00,000 or less.

- Birth certificate of the child
- Aadhar card of the parents.
- Birth certificate of the mother of a child
- Annual income certificate of parents.
- Details of children born in the family with their order
- Certificate of oath to be written in the presence of the officer
How To Apply For Vahli Dikri Yojana 2024
Applications under the Vahli Dikri scheme are currently accepting through offline only. You can not fill this form through online mode yet.
When the authority will accept the online form, we will inform you. At present, we are telling you the process of applying under the Vahli Dikri scheme through offline mode below.
- Contact your nearest Anganwadi centre / CDPO office / Panchayat / Women and Child Development Department.
- You can approach any one of the above-mentioned nearest offices and collect the application form from there. The form is free of cost for citizens.
- Fill up the application form correctly.
- Attach all the necessary documents mentioned above with this form and submit them to the nearest CSC or VCE.
- They will upload your application form to the official website of the Gujarat Government.
- After submitting the online application, the staff from the concerned office will come to your home for an inspection. This work will take 15 days.
- The concerned employee will send the report of his inspection to his officer.
- After checking the application, the concerned authority will give information about the status of its acceptance or rejection through online mode. This process will also take 15 days.
