Karnataka Gruha Jyothi Guarantee Scheme 2023
The Gruha Jyothi Yojana was implemented to enhance the quality of life for individuals residing in Karnataka. Under this initiative, individuals who consume up to 200 units of electricity are exempted from paying their electricity bills.
This translates to potential monthly savings of approximately Rs 1000 for families.
Under the “Griha Jyothi” scheme, households in the State have a maximum consumption limit of 200 units per month, not exceeding 10% of the monthly average consumption in FY 2022-23.
For those exceeding this limit, the government has issued an appeal to pay the Pune Vidyayat bill.
The scheme will be implemented for educational use starting in August 2023, following its trial run in July 2023.
The primary objective of this program is to alleviate the economic burden associated with electricity costs that residents face.
To avail of the benefits of the Karnataka Free Electricity Scheme, applicants have the option to apply either online or through offline channels.
