Maharashtra Universal Travel Pass was a QR-based Pass for all people who were fully vaccinated in lockdown. You know that Maharashtra’s economy runs on daily workers therefore government opened the Local Train for these people.

To maintain the situation, the Department of Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation (DMRR) implemented a platform to identify the fully vaccinated person in the state.

All the people during Vaccination were vaccinated had to download their Cowin Certificate. And who wanted to register on DMRR Portal for a universal pass had to upload Cowin Certificate for verification.

DMRR verified this certificate and issued QR Pass.

For more convenience, all the processes of registration and application were done by the Establishments.

You Do Not Need Maharashtra Universal Pass In 2023

Yes. Now in 2023, you do not need Maharashtra Universal Pass. You can travel in local trains, express, highways, airways etc without it.

You just have to carry your Cowin Certificate. It is not mandatory, but you should download and keep the PDF for convenient travel.

According to Cowin Data, Maharashtra has completed 17.80 crore vaccinated people. The population of Maharashtra in 2023 is about 12 crore.

This means about 100% of citizens in the state are vaccinated.

Therefore, now people do not have to show any verification for travelling in a state or country.

Eligibility Criteria:

Any Indian resident who meets the following requirements is eligible to apply for Universal Travel Pass registration:

Employees working in the medical, utility, and education sectors, as well as employees of registered companies.
Completion of the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination at least two weeks prior.
Age of 18 years or above.
Compliance with the specified categories in the application.

To complete the online application for the Universal Travel Pass, you will need to provide the following documents:

Voter ID
Aadhaar Card
Registration Certificate
Proof of employment in a registered company or the aforementioned sectors
Registered Mobile Number

Please note that without these documents, you will be unable to register for the Universal Travel Pass. If you lack any of these documents, we recommend obtaining them before proceeding with the registration process.

How to apply for a pass and download

To apply for the Universal Travel Pass online, follow these steps:

Visit the official online portal of your state government.
Navigate to the “Register Your Establishment” section.
Fill out the required details, including your workplace’s registration number and your employment information.
Accept the stated conditions and make the necessary declarations.
Click on the “Register” option to submit your application.

Once you have successfully completed the online registration for the Universal Travel Pass, you will receive a message on your registered mobile number. Within 48 hours, you will be able to download your Universal Travel Pass and save it on your device.
