Introduction to Story of Diwali: Diwali is also known as Deepawali ,it is a festival celebrated in almost all parts of India . It is an Indian festival that marks the victim of good over bad (evil).

Everyone knows the detailed information about the festival of Diwali and why the festival of Diwali is celebrated. Let’s start.

It is a FESTIVAL celebrated by Indians with great enthusiasm . The festival commomorates joy, harmony and victory It also marks returns of Lord Ram from exile , which is described in the epic ramayana.

It also means a row of lights. So, this festival is celebrated by lightening lamps (usually earthen lamps) all around the house/office It also symbolises light as the victory over darkness .

Generally according to the stars ,the date of Diwali occurs in October or November and expected to be 20 days after dussehra .It is celebrated in the Hindu month called kartika.

Diwali story, rama and sita

Lord Ram was sent into to exile for fourteen years .He was accompanied by Lord la Lakshman and goddess Sita. Lord Lakshman is lord Ram brother and goddess Sita is Ram wife. They all spend all fourteen years wandering in jungle .

Ravana who is the king of Lanka kidnapped goddess Sita by converting into a saint.Lord Rama and lord Lakshman and Hanuman and lots of monkeys went to fight with Ravana they fought many battles with the rival forces .

Lord Rama defeated ravana and saved Goddess Sita He won a war over evil they returned to Ayodhya after defeating ravana with a great victory .

His arrival in ayodhya spread happiness and smiles among all the residents .He was being welcomed by flowers and lamps. People worshipped lord Rama and goddess Sita and thier companions.

Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile. All the people of ayodhya were tremendously happy to hear the news .

they decorated the whole places with flowers and lighted lapms all around. They made ayodhya very beautiful when lord Rama reached ayodhya they worshipped all of them.

After their arrival in ayodhya, people start celebrating that day as diwali every year .People light lamps and decorate their homes with flowers .
