Therefore on 26th August 2021, the government launched the National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW) which will store various data of such workers to identify them. And for ease of understanding the government named the Database Portal as eShram.
The government encourages unorganised workers to eShram Registration and Download UAN or EShram Card. By the end of August about 2 Crore people registered for it.
Today, about 28.93 Crore workers have registered for eShram Card.

If you are registering for the first time for eShram Card then you should follow the following steps:
- Firstly, go to the official website @eshram.gov.in
- On the homepage, you will see the “Registering For eShram” option, click on it.
- Now you will jump to the Mobile and Aadhaar Verification.
- Enter your Mobile and Aadhaar Number, you will receive OTP.
- Now verify them.
- Next, you will jump to the Registration Form page.
- Complete the form and then you will get a UAN number.
- On the same page, you will get the Download eShram Card button.
Already Registered: e Shram Card Download PDF By Aadhaar & OTP
If you have already registered for eShram then you can download your card using your UAN Number, Aadhaar and Registered Mobile Number.
- Firstly, go to the official website @eshram.gov.in
- On the homepage, click on Register On EShram
- You will jump to another page.
- On this page, you can see Already Registered option on the navbar.
- Update Profile using Aadhaar
- Update Profile using UAN
- Know your UAN
- From this, select any one option.
- Now you will jump on the Aadhaar OTP verification page.
- Enter your Mobile number, and captcha then click on Send OTP.
- Now get OTP entering Aadhaar and Captcha.
- Verify OTP.
- Click on Download UAN card.
