Gujarat Digital Seva Setu Yojana
The government of Gujarat launched the “Digital Seva Setu Programme” on 8th October 2020. It was led by the previous chief minister Vijay Rupani.
Seva Setu Yojana had aimed to connect the 3,500 villages across states with 100 Mbps internet connectivity. (Phase-1)
Further, it will also provide public facilities to rural people so that they do not need to go far outside of the village.
Objectives of the scheme
The main objective of the Seva Setu Programme is to connect Gram Panchayats with high internet connectivity so that the villagers can easily avail of public services without visiting the block or district offices.
In addition, the program offers a digital service that is faceless, cashless and fast so that there will no middlemen and it results in corruption-free GPs.

Key Features Of Gujarat Digital Seva Setu
In the Seva Setu Phase-1, the government aimed the internet connectivity of 3500 villages and they accomplished it so that they again 2700 villages on November 3, 2020.
In this phase, they started by offering 20 services to villagers in Gram Panchayat. And then move to 50 new services.
To avail of the service from Gram Panchayat, the villagers have to pay Rs 20. And all Collective Amount will be again used in the development of the village.
To avoid attempting villagers to travel to notary offices in cities and towns, the state government would also grant the Talati Mantri at the Village Panchayat level the authority of an affidavit.

The BharatNet Project is leading Gujarat Digital Seva Setu for phase 2. Now the government has fulfilled all the promises of the scheme.
They have completed the list of villages and gram panchayats under the scheme and now focusing on implementation, further features and transparency of the scheme.

Digital Seva Setu is a helpful program that provides many services to people. It offers 321 different services for everyone’s needs.
It reaches out to 14,078 Gram panchayats, even in remote areas. So far, it has processed a huge number of 12,898,552 applications.
